Save recipies
There are many ways to store recipies so you can always have them with you: the Notes app, Google Docs, etc. GPS Log is actually pretty good at this too! While it’s not most people’s primary use-case, many long-time users have a bunch of recipes stored in the app.
GPS Log is great for recipies because you can add photos and notes, and all the data is stored locally on your device allowing you to look it up instantly, even if you don’t have data.
Tips:
- Add the tag “recipe” for easy searching.
- Want to version a recipe (e.g. as you’re iterating on it), that’s easy too. Just copy and paste into a new spike. The date ordering means that your newer versions are shown first, while the old ones can still be found.
- Want to share your recipe? Create a public link to share with friends.
Use GPS Log for recipies or any kind of notes and photos you want to index and carry with you offline.
